N1  - Homosexuality   is   the   buzz   word   of   our   time.   Both   the   Church   and   various governments  are  under  pressure  from  its  advocates  to create  room  for it.  Basking under the comfort of the law that criminalizes homosexuality, Ndola Baptist Church (NBC)  might  not  feel  the  intensity  of  this  pressure  now.  However,  it  needs  to  arm itself sufficiently with the right theology and the right church praxis, both for now and for  the  future  when  homosexuality  will  almost  certainly  be  de-criminalized.  The primary  objective  for  this  study  was  to develop  theologically-informed  strategic ministry  plan  that  ensures  NBC’s  praxis  with  respect  to  homosexuality  is contextually-relevant   and   faithful   to   God.   It   is   anchored   on   three   secondary objectives, namely, to interpret NBC’s operative theology; to determine and defend normative theology and the accompanying church praxis; and to formulate ministry strategic plan that enhances the church’s praxis. The  study  sets  off  by  examining  the  church’s documents followed by a qualitative small-scale  empirical  research  which  culminates  in  the  interpretation  of  its  current operative theology in relation to homosexuality (chapter 2). The enquiry proceeds to examine  various  theological  and  non-theological  perspectives  and  consequently develops and defends a normative theology for NBC with respect to homosexuality (chapter  3).  Drawing  upon  the  results  and  conclusions  from  chapters  2  and  3,  a strategy of communicative and implementation actions is formulated to actualize the new operative theology as it relates to homosexuality (chapter 4).The major findings from the study were as follows: Firstly, the examination of church documents  and  the  empirical  study  (chapter  2)  showed  congruence  of  belief  and practice regarding homosexuality. Secondly, the literary and various theological and Biblical  areas  of  research  established  a biblically-faithful  view  of  homosexuality. A biblically-faithful   theology   with   respect   to   homosexuality   was   subsequently developed  and defended for  NBC (chapter  3).  Thirdly,  the  literary  research  in chapter  3  further  revealed  that  there  was  no  conclusive  evidence  of  a  scientific cause  for  homosexuality,  but  rather  a  multifactorial,  interactional  cause  which includes personal choice
