Sexuality: A Decision Making Model for Adolescents in South Africa - Johannesburg, South Africa South African Theological Seminary 2008 - 95p PDF A4 Summary. Table of contents. Bibliography. Appendices.

A study has been done to determine and recommend a decision-making model with regards to sexuality for adolescents in South Africa. The purpose of the study was to suggest what is the most helpful and effective way for the church to teach biblical sexuality to teenagers in South Africa. The sexual activity and the sexual struggles of adolescents in South Africa have been outlined; and the neurobiological development of teenagers with regards to decision-making has been researched. Suggestions have been made about what the church should focus on when teaching, equipping and guiding adolescents in sexual behaviour and decision-making. Recommendations have been made about how the church can effectively educate and minister to adolescents in a sex-drenched society. A decision making model has been included to guide adolescents towards responsible decision making regarding romantic relationships and sexual activity in this critical life stage.
