520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. | the present study went from the observation that the DRC in general and its capital Kinshasa unparticularised experiencing a leadership crisis that has resulted in the fragility of socio-politico-economic, cultural and faith-based entities that prompted the Mennonite Brethren, through the CEFMC, to call on their own to take up this challenge.it started from the assumption that if the CEFMC Christians developed personal leadership that reflected the principles of Christ leadership, they would succeed to (a) ; play their role as God's agent for the salvation of mankind; (b) reinforce their trumps (assets) and turn their weaknesses into strengths and contextual challenges into opportunities for the mission;(c)confirm the incarnation of the scriptural principles (embodiment, personification) of Christ leadership in their missional commitment (undertaking); (d)demonstrate (express) a personality, character and skill (competence, ability, proficiency) that would promote community (communal) transformation. This hypothesis served to verify: how the Batela Church of the Mennonite Brethren in Kinshasa applies the principles of Christ leadership in its missionary commitment.to achieve its specific objective: to discover the principles of Christlike leadership and analyse how Batela church appropriates and embodies in its missional commitment, it used the empirical-descriptive task, the interpretative task, the normative task and the pragmatic task according to the model of Richard Osmer's practical theology. This approach has found that the praxis of Christocentric leadership in the missional commitment of the Batela Church is both an existing and a non-existent reality. To change the situation, she can focus on discipleship with a focus on formal, informal training and non-formal using some of the activities proposed this study. |
