CARACTERÍSTICAS DE UMA IGREJA DE CUIDADO PASTORAL: UM ESTUDO DE CASO NO BRASIL - Johannesburg, South Africa South African Theological Seminary 2019 - 226 pages PDF A4 Abstract, TOC

The present thesis had its origin in the participant observation of the researcher in her pastoral action. While the church showed signs of experiencing relational dysfunctions dissonant with its community character (i.e., unhealthy relationships), the researcher considered the hypothesis that this occurs because of the lack of love and consideration of one another. By not experiencing full communion and unity, people feel lonely in their own community of faith, not knowing what to do, or how to change their solitude in the quest to be cured of their pains and to witness to the love of Jesus in their context. A wide bibliographical, biblical and field research has been developed to detect some of the pastoral-ecclesial, biblical-theological and human relations of care characteristics in a relational community. The present work demonstrates that the initial hypothesis proves concrete from the empirically obtained results, which shows the face of the postmodern church in the matters mentioned here, thus failing to fulfil the biblical principles for the Church of Christ.
